［記者黃旭磊／高雄報導］國揚集團創辦人侯西峰，獲高科大創校以來首位名譽博士頭銜，校方推崇於高雄還債18年，堪稱企業家承擔典範。
國立高雄科技大學今年2月掛牌營運，20日於建工校區頒發名譽工學博士學位給侯西峰。校長楊慶煜今天（21日）推崇侯「勇敢承擔，嚴守承諾」，創辦國揚建設、漢神百貨、漢來飯店及漢來美食等企業，秉持誠信、負責、堅持、創研及感恩價值，堪為年輕學子學習典範，
侯西峰於1998年因跳票負債198億，南下高雄創業，最高紀錄1天還債800多萬元，港都成為翻轉人生福地，2016年以165億將漢來新世界商辦大樓，賣給中信金旗下台壽保產險，創下南台灣單一商用最高成交紀錄，滿手現金北上台中、台北並西進開設漢來美食、百貨。
楊慶煜為侯戴上博士帽，國際會議廳會場有百名師生參加，驚嘆這段10多年還債再起傳奇。
侯西峰帶著妻子李宛螢出席頒授儀式，他感性地說，過去失敗是老天爺給自己最好的禮物，感恩奮鬥過程中遇到每個人，感恩上蒼眷顧，更感謝家人們給予支持及鼓勵。
侯西峰說，人生每個階段有不同滋味，無需排斥，只需細細品嘗，正因為有這些酸甜苦辣才能造就精彩，未來，會以不斷創研精神，以及實際成績彰顯學位榮譽價值。
